One Man Sawbench

One Man Sawbench
The McKEECO one-man sawbench provides versatility with the operator having the choice of using the sawbench in either a roundabout or reversing belt mode. The sawbench can be custom built to suit a particular sawmill's application and is of a modular construction that results in a minimal installation time.

The Control Console

The infeed and linebar - The linebar is mounted on a solid hardchrome bar

INFEED ROLLCASE
A vee belt drives the infeed rollcase rollers. The rollers can be used as loose rollers to help the operator position the flitch or as driven rollers when feeding the flitch. A set of reversible rooftop cross chains transfer the flitch to the linebar. A separate sizing cylinder is used to position the linebar doing away with the need for a compensating tube.

Sawbench & operator - roundabout or reversing belt modes an option

SAWBENCH

The sawbench is fabricated from 10mm plate. It has large diameter gauge rollers with bearings runningThe side view of the sawbench - versatile sawing machine in an oil bath. Hydraulically driven rollers are available as an option. The hob is hydraulically driven and is operated by an air cylinder and controlled by a high/low pressure system for cushioned closing and fast operating action. An overhead split press roll is mounted at the rear of the bench.
Outfeed belts - driven by direct coupled motors

SETWORKS
The setworks system is a PLC controlled system by INT-ELECT Systems. The setworks work is reliable and accurate with the ability to reprogram a special size if required.

TWIN OUTFEED BELTS
The twin outfeed belts are individually hydraulically driven by direct coupled motors, eliminating chain drives. The head & tail pulleys are of cantilever design with individual adjustment for ease of belt tracking.
